In Year 5, we are continuing to grow as independent learners, using our learning powers to strengthen and expand our skills. We will be exploring a broad and exciting curriculum, delivered through a variety of approaches and experiences designed to make learning engaging and meaningful.
Our class teacher is Mr. Kearns, supported by our wonderful learning assistants, Mrs. Rea and Mrs. Wright. Be sure to check this page regularly for the latest news and updates about our learning journey!
We have an exciting half-term ahead as we move towards Christmas! Our learning will take us to the Alps, where we’ll discover more about this incredible mountain range and its place across Europe.
A real highlight will be our residential trip to Manor Adventure, offering the children an unforgettable opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun together. We’ll also be joining forces with Year 6 to create our festive Christmas production — always a special part of the term!
In English, we’ll be exploring a range of traditional tales and some of our favourite childhood stories, while in Science we’ll be journeying into space to learn more about the planets and the wonders that surround our own home, Earth.
