Welcome to Year 5!

In Year 5, we are continuing to grow as independent learners, using our learning powers to strengthen and expand our skills. We will be exploring a broad and exciting curriculum, delivered through a variety of approaches and experiences designed to make learning engaging and meaningful.

Autumn 1

We have a fantastic half-term of learning planned and can’t wait to get started. Our journey will take us back in time to the Viking era, where we’ll be exploring whether they were raiders, traders, or something else entirely.

In English, we will be writing a series of diary entries inspired by the incredible explorer Matthew Henson. Meanwhile, in Science, we’ll be getting hands-on with a range of exciting practical activities that will help us investigate and discover even more about the world around us.
