Year 1/2
Welcome!
A very warm welcome to our Year 1 and 2 class! We have a classroom filled with fun, creative learning and kindness. Our two class teachers are Mr Jones and Mrs Voce, while we also have Miss Pyne as our wonderful learning assistant. We will also be regularly joined by many other members of our fantastic team of learning assistants.
Autumn 2
In this half term, we will be working on a Geography topic, building our understanding of where we are in world, starting from our local area and expanding out to a global scale.
Our English will maintain a strong focus on independent sentence writing based off a variety of key texts, with various writing techniques being introduced throughout, such as descriptive writing and writing to inform. Our key texts this half term will be 'Polar Bear Son' and 'Lost and Found'.
Our Maths lessons will revolve around addition and subtraction. Year 1s will build their knowledge of addition and subtraction up to 10, while Year 2s will use their knowledge of tens and ones to further their addition and subtraction skills.
